Four OBV teams attended the Chi Town Challenge tournament in Chicago this past weekend. With 484 boy's teams participating, the competition was fierce.

The CHALLENGE for 16 Quiksilver Chevin was to overcome a couple close, tough 3-set losses in their day one pool.  The team came together and went undefeated in their day two pool. That placed them in Copper bracket play on day three, where they continued their winning streak taking the Copper championship.

17 Quiksilver and 18 Quiksilver Matt were both faced with the CHALLENGE of overcoming missing personnel. With more than a handful of unfortunate injuries, illnesses, and absences to overcome both teams played hard and competed well. With many close matches, those who stepped up to the challenge gained valuable experience to take forward.

The only CHALLENGE 18 Quiksilver Mike had to overcome was the incredibly high level of play in the 18 Open field. 47 teams in that division, all playing the game at an elite level.  The team played extremely well, making a deep run in the Gold bracket before falling to eventual champion Balboa Bay 18Blue. A solid 5th place finish in the first national tournament of the season.
